Soul Support’s mission is to be a catalyst for healing in this world. Now many people think of healing only in terms of the individual, but having a Ph.D. in Sociology (UT-Austin) I have an appreciation and understanding of the need for and applicability of healing to groups, organizations, and communities. Simply put, healing is about creating or restoring a sense of wholeness and completeness to a situation or environment.

I have over a decade of experience leading and facilitating groups, organizations, and classes through challenging issues relating to identity, difference, power, emotions, pain, and communication. I am able to see and observe the social norms at work in your organizational environment and able to provide tools and practices that help shift and transform social dynamics that empower the people of your organization to work cohesively towards established goals.

WORKSHOPS &

TRAININGS

There are a number of a la carte workshops and trainings Soul Support can facilitate and provide to departments, companies, and organizations. Workshops and trainings can be conducted either in-person or virtually. Although I am based in Northwest Arkansas, I am available to travel for in-person events outside of this area. Clients outside of Northwest Arkansas who desire in-person workshops or trainings, are responsible for covering all travel related expenses in addition to the workshop/training fee.

CONSULTING

Sometimes organizations require greater insight, analysis, and support than what a one-time workshop, training, or day-long in-service can provide. An external party can be particularly helpful in guiding organizations through issues and dynamics that have been creating tension and conflict. In those times where you believe your office, department, or organization needs some third-party support, contracting Soul Support for consulting may be the best course of action.

My approach to organizational consulting is heavily influenced by my training as a researcher. To develop an effective course of action, you must first understand the problem. Therefore, the early stages consist of clarifying what you understand the problem to be, gather data to determine if that assessment is correct, and if so, what seems to be the contributing factors. I then propose an organizational plan of action that will help catalyze the desired change and transformation. Beyond this point, each organization can determine how I might best support them in implementing this course of action. I should note, that I do not see my assessment and proposal as a prescriptive one, but one that is a collaboration between myself and my client.

In an effort to find, grow, and keep great employees, many companies and organizations have started to pioritize and invest in their staff’s holistic wellness by providing individual coaching as a benefit of employment. In fact, a number of HR professionals have begun citing the anecdotal and quantitative evidence that providing one-on-one coaching to employees comes with significant benefits.
